Back to HTML dreamweaver. Called client on Tuesday during class to put some fire under him to get me some text. Contact signed. Present on Friday.

CSS and Pictures

Today has the following goals

Goals

1) Give CSS to every page except home page. Homepage has issues with JavaScript therefore CSS will be in the code of the page. CSS for all other pages will be a linked CSS file.

2) Finish site will all pages with pictures (not me, others)

3) Done doing work except text from pastor.

4) Set up WordPress for pastor

5) Edit all WordPress except for text from pastor.

6) E-mail pastor for text.

Okay lets recap. Got Brittany her own subdomain. brittany.mrdavidonline.com

Pastor gave me the godaddy stuff. I’m trying to log into tonight, only to find that the login doesn’t work.

I showed the pastor what we did. He seemed please. He and I decided that we will be doing a wordpress for his offical website but will finish out our current website for class html dreamweaver credit.

Tricky JQuery and IE

Oh Internet Explorer how I hate thee. Let me count the ways…..

My jQuery does not want to work with IE 8. I either have to troubleshoot it or switch over to a different type of java script (most likely choice).

The pages are pretty much done. Now we need to add some nice graphics on each lower half the page.

I’m toying with the idea (if I have time) with a refreshing banner that changes every time you visit the site or different pages.

We are about 5 days from presenting the finished pages to the pastor. His job is to fill in the pages with text, per our client meetings.

Missed Anjan in class last week. Brittany will be in charge of some of the graphics.

We have our client meeting last week. Brittany and I attended. I’m more excited about actually finishing with help then before.

Meeting went well. The pastor told us which pages he wanted us to created, then he will go back and add text.

Tonight we are meeting our client at Zaxby’s in Ootawah.

Brittany will be able to come, but Anjan said he is still out of town.

I’ve talked our Client several times on the phone. I’ve prompted him to be ready for everything he wants on the site. We will build this site for him in Dreamweaver, but eventually it sounds like he wants something like that of a wordpress. The tempt site we are building will remain on our site, but then I’ll make his site on WordPress later.

I set up a meeting with the pastor of the church to whom we are building a website. Only to remember that this week is Fall Break for Lee. Hopefully, I can still get the other two people in my group to still come if they are not on break.

The pastor gave me his first impressions of what he would like on his site. Check one done. Next to start a process of putting it together including using kuler to get a color scheme down. The member who was absent last week e-mailed last night. So hopefully this will work out.
